They were used to being the one who could handle anything. Always organized. Always on top of it all. But now?
They were overwhelmed.
They were dropping balls.
And they were starting to question if they even wanted to keep operating at that pace.
They weren’t just asking, Can I keep doing this job well?
They were also asking, Do I want to?
They realized that life outside of work mattered. They wanted to be more present for it.
So we started where I often do, with clarity.
What did they really want from work, from life, from themselves?
We looked at:
- How much energy they wanted to give to work, and whether that effort could bring success
- What their sense of purpose was and how it aligned with their role and company
- Whether growth in the company was something they genuinely wanted or simply felt obligated to pursue
What they uncovered was powerful.
They liked their company. It aligned with their values.
Their tasks were manageable if they used their time more effectively.
And they hadn’t acknowledged that sometimes, you’re in a season where other things need to come first.
So we worked on tools to help make that shift:
- Calibrating pressure versus stress, learning how to challenge themselves without burning out
- Finding ways to reconnect with what nurtured them, inside and outside of work
- Rebuilding support systems through smart, intentional relationship-building
- Navigating organizational dynamics more strategically (you don’t have to play politics, but you do need to understand them)
They admitted they were skeptical at first. But recently, they told me this experience has made a significant impact on both their personal and professional life.
Now?
They’re stepping into a new role with clarity, a plan, and regular check-ins to stay on track without losing themselves along the way.
Take this with you:
If something feels off, you might be ready for a big change.
But you don’t always have to blow everything up.
You just need to pause long enough to evaluate what’s working, what’s not, and what’s actually worth your time and energy.
If that’s where you are, I’d love to help.
